As the title says, I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro on my Macbook Pro using boot camp. Everything is running flawlessly except for no audio. In device manager, the high definition audio controller appears with a yellow exclamation point. In properties, it says This device cannot start. (Code 10). I have tried almost everything. I tried installing new Intel Drivers, new Cirrus drivers, new Realtek drivers, updating the EFI, uninstalling boot camp drivers and reinstalling them. Any ideas?

  1. The only audio device is under ‘System device’ where I have ‘High definition audio controller’. In the BIOS hd-audio is enabled. The last audio driver from asrock is Realtek R2.31 for win 7 but after installation the problem remains still the same.
